I've been going through this phase lately where I like to just point my camera at the sun and snap a picture.
Lets call it blind photography...due to the intense glare of the sun there is no way to line up the shot, or even know for sure if you are pointed directly at it.
I just snap the pic and--later in the day--take a look to see what I have.
Once in awhile I get a stunning shot. More often than not--much like life--I get a boring variant of the day before...the beauty, however, is hiding in the shadows. It just needs to be teased out.
That's what happened here. Thankfully there are fantastic apps out there, like Camera+, that allow me to find the extraordinary behind the boring.
