The Hidden Truth



I took this picture of my daughter in Rockefeller Center three Christmas's ago.  Our entire family was there, and it was an incredibly good time. You cannot tell that from this photo though, and that is what keeps drawing me back to it.  In the seconds before, after, and even at this very moment she was laughing and having a great time.  It just so happens that the second I snapped the picture she looks somber and lost.  It feels like a microcosm of our lives since her mother took her to Arizona...no matter how great the big picture is we both carry a sadness that is always lurking just below the surface.
