There is nothing I could say to expound upon this prophetic statement so, instead, I will comment on the two possible views of it.


If you get it, then you fucked up!  You are asleep at the wheel!  Get your head out of your ass - realize where we stand as a country - and do something about it!


If you don't get it then you are fucked up!  You are part of the problem...not the solution!  Take your hand out of the air and put it to work for fucks sake!  Take care of yourself and yours!  I will take care of mine!

I have recently witnessed this in its most disgusting form.  The ability that some people have to judge with little, or no, self introspection is stunning!  The need to ignore the "judged" in order to not see the effects of their arrogance glaring back at them... unconscionable!

The State Of The Union was an embarasment!
The GOP Response was no better.
I am starting to feel like the left and the right are just the distraction...the GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ if you will.

Quote Note Of The Day 01/11/2010

This is one of those rare quotes - for me anyway- that actually flirts with being a truism.  The 'only way' has been a concept I have railed against since I was old enough to know what a concept was.  It began, of course, with religion and, eventually, made its way into my political views.  The last election was rife with the notion that each side was in possession of the 'only way' to proceed.  Our country is in its current state because there are to many people out there that believe they are in possession of the 'only way'.  We are tearing each other apart, quite simply, because we cannot, or will not, agree to disagree!
